Residents use these kiosks to quickly find events, discover restaurants and review movies in their city. Our designs provide timely information and suggestions that help users define urban living on their own terms.

We had created this mockup for a network of Kiosks that could readily provide information on what you want to do in your city. A kiosk would be placed within convenient locations for residents of select apartments.

Our team had realized that our target audience had expectation about how haptic interfaces work, inflenced by their experience with ATMs, smartphones, movie theater kiosks, subway and airline ticketing kiosks and supermarket self-service register machines. Knowing we couldn't dwell too far out of these currently existant interfaces, we made our first notes.

First a user would approach the machine and select their destination for the day,"Our team had realized that our target audience had expectation about how haptic interfaces work" four conveniant toggles (Restaurant Finder, Bars & Clubs, Arts & Events and Movie & Theater Finder) are displayed in the upper portion of the display. Upon selecting a category, for example Bars & Clubs, a user could search by Cuisine, Neighborhood and other little Extras a location may include. Instantly, results would form in lists to the left for the user to browse through, neatly organized into pages. The large buttons provide easy interaction with the elements without too much of a hassle. Slide gestures were also envisioned into the final version, as a user could slide their finger on the top navigation bar to briefly view information in each category before letting go.
